Since performing her moving speech at president Joe Biden’s inauguration, the poet has slowly been spreading her wings in the fashion world.

Amanda Gorman signed with IMG models back in early 2021 and has gone on to appear in a campaign for Estée Lauder and now a campaign for Prada.

Yesterday she posted to Instagram sharing her excitement about being involved in Prada’s new fine jewelry campaign.

“Since I wear jewelry throughout my life and when I perform poetry, it’s been important to me to research brands whose jewelry is part of a larger eco-friendly and humanitarian vision,” she says in the post.

“ I’m so excited that not only is this line made of recycled material, but each person can trace their jewelry’s journey, origin, and authenticity through Aura Consortium Blockchain’s platform, she continues. “In my eyes, what is always eternal and golden is breaking new ground in transparency, sustainability, and consciousness both in our industries and in every facet of our lives.”

The jewelry collection is made of 100% certified recycled gold and it’s the first-ever fine jewelry collection the luxury fashion house has done.

The collection is titled “Eternal Gold” and features 48 fine jewelry pieces, available for purchase exclusively through Prada’s stores.

Some of the designs included in the collection include a chunky heart pendant, a triangle choker, heart-shaped earrings and a wrap-around arm cuff.

With the help of the Aura Consortium Blockchain’s platform, all of the pieces can be traced for sustainable/ethical practices and overall authenticity.

Alongside Gorman in the campaign is actress Maya Hawke and K-pop star Jeon So Mi.
