The Foundation for AIDS Research, amfAR, held its 2023 Gala at the Cannes Film Festival. This year’s annual gala was hosted by Queen Latifah with performances from Halsey and Gladys Knight among others. amfAR’s gala is dedicated to bringing the world’s biggest names together to raise money for AIDS research.
Alongside its noble work, the amfAR red carpet is always memorable and this year the Black women in attendance did not disappoint.

Storm Reid
Actress Storm Reid opted for a quietly fierce look in a strapless silver gown complete with a modest train. Her look was complemented by a short haircut, silver hoops and blood-red lipstick.
Lori Harvey
The style plate and daughter of Steve and Marjorie Harvey went with a stunning, midriff baring red gown. It was the perfect choice to showcase her toned abs. Lori Harvey completed her look with black sunglasses and minimal accessories.
Teyana Taylor
Like Lori Harvey, Teyana Taylor also had her midriff on display in a long black dress. Rocking a pixie cut to complement her look, Taylor also went with minimal accessories including a mouthpiece that sat majestically on her lower lip.
Winnie Harlow
Model Winne Harlow went for an angelic look in a white dress complete off with a dramatic sleeve. She completed her formal attire with white pumps, a silver serpentine necklace and silver rings.
Queen Latifah
Actress and rapper Queen Latifah looked majestic in a long white suit coat with a modest train. For accessories, she opted for dangling silver earrings and wore her signature honey gold hair long and set away from her face.
Cindy Bruna
The French fashion model wore a strapless black gown adorned at the bottom with a feathery skirt. She wore her long black hair in a side part and dangling silver earrings.
Jasmine Tookes
Model Jasmine Tookes stunned in a long, black semi-see-through dress finished off with her hair in an updo. With almost no accessory in sight, she let her dress and hair take centre stage.
