Our original Dreamgirl was honored in her home country of Jamaica with the Order of Jamaica. Similar to America’s Medal of Freedom, the Order of Jamaica is a coveted honor that is given to citizens of outstanding distinction.

She was awarded the honor at King’s House by Jamaican prime minister Andrew Michael Holness. As one of ten recipients awarded the nation’s fifth-highest honor, she now goes by a new title: The Honourable Sheryl Lee Ralph OJ (Order of Jamaica).

The actress was also added to Forbes’ 2022 50 Over 50 list. According to Forbes, the 50 Over 50 is proof that success and happiness have no expiration date and Sherly embodies just that!

The wins just do not stop for the icon. We will be keeping a close eye on her wins for the remainder of the year (because they are sure to keep rolling in). Sheryl Lee Ralph might just walk away from 2022 with that “best year” crown!
