Misa Hylton is voicing her thoughts on the negative influence she feels her former partner Sean “Diddy” Combs has had on their son Justin Combs.

Following Justin’s DUI arrest in the early morning hours of June 5, Hylton took to her Instagram stories to share her thoughts on the situation. In multiple posts, she opened up about how Justin’s lifestyle with his father in Los Angeles may have played into the serious situation the 29-year-old is now facing.

“I’m not protecting no one anymore, just my son,” she wrote. “The statement ‘a fish rots from the head down’ means that, in addition to being a major contributing factor in a family or organization’s success, leadership is also the root cause of its failure and demise. The Truth shall set you free.”

Hylton also appeared to take a dig at Diddy’s on-and-off relationship with rapper Yung Miami and his recent lawsuit over his DeLeon tequila brand.

She also called out called out Justin’s Alma Mater UCLA, where he graduated with a Bachelors degree in Sociology in 2016 and played football as a defensive back.

“I should have kept my child with me. F**k UCLA too. Everybody can get it,” Hylton wrote. But it isn’t fully clear why she included UCLA in her post commenting on Justin’s situation.

Many came to Hylton’s defense on social media, praising the fashion stylist and designer for speaking out openly about what she thinks led to Justin’s current legal troubles.

However, others have raised questions about who is truly accountable in the situation. Some wonder how much blame can be placed on Diddy for a decision ultimately made by Justin, an adult. There were also questions raised if Hylton was shifting accountability away from her adult son and not holding him to the same standard she was placing on his father.

Hylton has offered no additional comments on the situation since she posted her thoughts on her Instagram stories. Neither Diddy nor Justin have made any comments on the DUI arrest.
